What You’ll Do

• Draft motions and supporting papers; prepare for and appear at hearings as appropriate
• Manage written discovery: propound, respond, meet-and-confer, and escalate issues strategically
• Take and defend depositions (clients, fact witnesses; expert exposure as you progress)
• Represent clients at case management conferences, ex parte appearances, and other court proceedings
• Support trial teams with strategy development, witness prep, and trial documents
• Mentor junior associates on drafting, organization, and case execution

What “Success” Looks Like

In the first 60–90 days, you:

• produce clean work product with increasing speed and sound judgment
• stay on top of deadlines, communicate early, and manage your tasks without reminders
• handle discovery and motion work with discipline and professionalism
• earn trust to take on higher-stakes work (more depos, more hearings, more case ownership)

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• California Bar license in good standing
• 2–4 years of litigation experience (motion and/or deposition experience preferred)
• Strong writing, organization, and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a paperless environment and adopting new tools
• Spanish bilingual skills a plus (not required)
• Team-oriented, reliable, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment

Location and Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite role based in our Century City office in Los Angeles.
Attendance is required Monday through Friday.
