Class Associate Attorney at Blackstone Law – Beverly Hills, California

Blackstone Law APC is a rapidly growing boutique firm looking for an experienced, sharp, and driven Class Action Attorney for the plaintiff’s side employment litigation department. The candidate would work on a team that manages class and PAGA wage and hour matters with occasional crossover into discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and sexual harassment litigation matters. While the candidate would have significant autonomy in managing their day-to-day workflow and assignments, we believe in creating a collaborative environment and the candidate will be working closely with the team lead and other attorneys to strategize and obtain the best possible result for the clients.

Responsibilities:

• Litigate a high volume of class action and PAGA wage-and-hour cases
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and class certification briefing
• Conduct advanced legal research and prepare high-quality written advocacy, including dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Collaborate in developing and executing case strategy with the team lead, senior associate, and litigation team
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and corporate representatives
• Prepare for and participate in mediations, settlement conferences, hearings, and court appearances
• Analyze employment records, including payroll, timekeeping, and policy documents, relevant to class and PAGA claims
• Communicate and manage relationships with clients, class representatives, witnesses, opposing counsel, experts, and the court as necessary during litigation
• Coordinate with and delegate work to litigation support staff to ensure efficient case progression
• Handle occasional crossover litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and sexual harassment claims
• Ensure compliance with applicable procedural rules, court orders, and litigation deadlines
• Maintain organized case files and accurate litigation documentation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in class action litigation, preferably in employment law
• Licensure: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Offices are located in Beverly Hills. We are open to in-office, hybrid or work from home for the right candidate
