Job Overview:
The Advanced Practice Provider would be joining the Pediatric Urology service located at the Anne Vogel Center in Eatontown, NJ. The Pediatric Urology practice, headed by Charles Concodora, MD, is looking to grow through the assistance of the APP. The practice provides pediatric urology care to children age 0-18. The APP is responsible for performing duties independently by following established and standardized protocols, and would be referring questionable situations to the physician.
As the practice grows, the APP would become responsible for participating in a “Voiding Dysfunction” clinic where patients with incontinence, bed-wetting, and UTIs can seek comprehensive care. The vast majority of patients with voiding dysfunction can be treated with simple, well-established healthcare protocols. Complex patients can be referred to the physician for further care. The APP would also be responsible for assisting in follow-up care of post-surgical patients, communication of test results to patients and families, and medication refills.
The APP’s duties are primarily occurring at the Anne Vogel center Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm. There are no weekend or nighttime responsibilities.
Qualifications:
General Requirements:
- CDS and DEA
- CPR certification
- 3-5 years of APP experience
Required by Nurse Practitioners
- APN License
- NP Certification (ANCC or AANP)
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Registered Professional Nurse with a current NJ state license
Required by Physician Assistants
- PA License
- NCCPA
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full time
- 40 hours
- Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Essential Functions:
- Administers injections, immunizations and oral medications, starts IV,
- Assists physician by recording patient progress notes, issues diagnostic orders, and transcribes orders
- Assists with various counseling and education functions,
- Billing for patient services based on CMS and NJ State Board Regulations,
- Demonstrates satisfactory knowledge and judgment to provide appropriate care for patients,
- Develops plan of care for patients in coordination with multidisciplinary team and completes appropriate reports to physicians and family,
- Documents and maintains patient records of services provided according to facility and nursing standards
- Establishes a collaborative relationship with other medical providers,
- Examines patients to determine presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, medical history, ascertains nature and extent of illness and prescribes treatments as indicated,
- Interviews, instructs and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention,
- Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions,
- Issues prescriptions to patients based on Federal & State Regulations,

- Orders and reviews appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures,
- Reviews all lab data and documents,
- Participates in the development of protocols,

- Performs and obtains a completed medical history and physical data on patients with appropriate documentation and findings,
- Performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations,
