Operations Support Specialist
Job Summary: The Operational Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the Dedicated Services Division. This position focuses on providing administrative and technical support to various departments, helping to streamline processes and improve overall productivity. By assisting in the coordination of tasks and managing resources, the Operational Support Specialist directly contributes to achieving business goals and enhancing the organization’s performance. This is a growth position with the goal of moving into an operations manager role as the division expands.
Primary Job Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide administrative support to the Dedicated Services management team, including maintaining records and creating reports.
- Assist with the implementation of new processes and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and addressing any issues promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments such as maintenance, safety, recruiting, IT, finance, and human resources to ensure integrated and efficient operations.
- Monitor and analyze performance data to identify trends and issues, making recommendations for improvements.
- Provide technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and offering training and support to users.
- Continuously monitor and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact operations.
- Ensure projects are staying on track and assist in operational administrative work.
- Step in to manage operations when other team members are on PTO, learning how the division operates to eventually move into an operations manager role as the division grows.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Special Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by supervisor
- Must be able to be on call outside of office hours
