JOB SUMMARY:

The clerical coordinator provides essential administrative and clerical support to the hospital pharmacy team. This role is responsible for managing various administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and serving as a liaison between the pharmacy and other hospital departments.

The Administrative Assistant ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the pharmacy by handling a variety of duties in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Registration in New Jersey as a Pharmacy Technician, within 6 months of hire

Preferred:

Hospital Pharmacy experience

Administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy setting

Certifications and Licenses Required

Registration in New Jersey as a Pharmacy Technician, within 6 months of hire

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Days, 37.5
  • 5 hours/week
  • Full-Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite which includes Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and creating Zoom meetings
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Responsible for pharmacy billing and reports through EPIC and Pyxis daily and monthly
  • Coordinating interviews with potential employees and residents
  • Assisting in technician tasks including outdating medications, labeling, filling medications during staff shortages
  • Maintaining pharmacy supplies through Staples
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service oriented approach
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is a plus
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Our Department:

All staff is invited to participate in the Pharmacy Shared Governance Council -PSGC- to effect change within the department.

Staff size- 120 colleagues
