ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Licensure Compliance & Support:

• Oversee all Professional Licensure related activity in the program

• Research, track, and interpret licensure requirements for counseling psychology across all U.S. states and territories.

• Maintain an updated database of licensure regulations and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.

• Assist students in understanding licensure pathways, requirements, and application processes through both individual and group advising.

• Collaborate with faculty and administration to align curriculum with state licensure requirements.

Student Advising and Administrative Support

• Advise MCP students on licensure pathways, requirements, and timelines.

• Complete licensure-related documentation for current students and graduates; communicate with licensing boards on their behalf when necessary.

• Provide ongoing consultation to faculty, academic advisors, Program Chairs, and the Executive Director to ensure accurate advising and curricular alignment with licensure requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:

• Serve as the primary liaison between the program, state licensing boards, and accreditation bodies. Monitoring agendas and attending relevant aspects of organizations' board meetings when necessary.

• Develop and disseminate licensure-related resources for students, faculty, and staff.

• Provide consultation with faculty and program advisors around state and course requirements

• Identifying and organizing areas of advocacy for the program.

Data Management & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records related to professional licensure

• Prepare reports on compliance status and licensure pass rates for internal and external stakeholders.

• Support accreditation and program review processes with required documentation.



Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of four years of administrative experience and an MA, or equivalent of experience.

Understanding of the LMFT and LPCC licensing process

Understanding of national professional licensure regulations

Familiarity with state licensing laws and regulations and the ability to interpret them

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Sound organizational and interpersonal skills to maintain an efficiency

Office management skills: oral and written communication, word processing, tech savvy.

Ability to interact with students, faculty, staff, and the outside community with diplomacy.

Ability to operate under pressure and assign priority to work needs coming from a number of individuals.

Personal interest in and alignment with CIIS values and vision.

Understanding of the graduate academic environment and confidentiality

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Occasional work performed alone with ability to work remotely from time-to-time. Collaboration and constant work around and with other people. Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal, typically, Monday through Friday.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

This position requires attention to detail, good memory, ability to work under deadline pressure, sitting and standing for long periods of time, oral and written communication, keyboarding for significant portions of the workday, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, patience, and tact to perform the essential functions.

LOCATION

This position is 100% Remote. Please note, this is a part-time position.



Additional Information:

WAGES AND BENEFITS

$34.00-$38.46

  • Working Conditions Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal, typically Monday through Friday.
  • Background Check Due to the sensitivity and requirements of this position, you should expect to undergo and be cleared of an employment background/criminal check, if extended an offer for employment. You may also be asked to provide proof of educational degree(s), licenses, or credentials pertinent to the position. If your job requires driving on behalf of CIIS you will be required to provide proof of a valid driver's license.
