Princeton University Store is strengthening its marketing, digital presence, customer engagement, and retail execution.

We are seeking an Associate Marketing Manager to coordinate marketing activity across stores, ecommerce, email, social media, events, signage, and customer-facing communications. This is a hands-on role for a practical, organized, and creative marketing professional who enjoys writing, planning, coordinating details, improving processes, and working across departments to bring marketing work to life.

Princeton University Store is an independent retail organization serving Princeton University students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, visitors, and the surrounding community. Customers shop with us in stores, online, through athletic events, and at special campus events throughout the year.

We are modernizing retail operations, strengthening digital commerce, improving customer engagement, and creating a more consistent Princeton University Store experience.

The Associate Marketing Manager will help make marketing more organized, consistent, and effective across the business.

This role supports the marketing calendar, customer communications, campaign coordination, social media workflow, ecommerce content, signage coordination, and basic performance review. The position works closely with leadership, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Store Teams, Operations, outside partners, and the Digital and Production Designer to ensure that customer-facing communications are clear, timely, professional, and aligned with business priorities.

This role requires sound judgment, careful writing, attention to detail, and the ability to manage content through review and approval before it is posted, printed, sent, or published.

What Success Looks Like

You will be successful when you:

* Maintain a reliable marketing calendar tied to business priorities, product launches, University moments, events, and seasonal selling periods.

* Improve the consistency and quality of customer-facing communications across email, ecommerce, social media, signage, events, and stores.

* Coordinate the timely development, review, approval, and posting of content.

* Partner effectively with Merchandising and Ecommerce to support product storytelling, promotions, landing pages, email campaigns, and digital content.

* Help prioritize the work of the Digital and Production Designer so creative, signage, digital, print, and campaign materials are produced accurately and on schedule.

What You Do

* Coordinate the company marketing calendar, campaign workflow, content deadlines, approvals, and follow-up across stores, ecommerce, email, social media, events, and promotions.

* Draft and coordinate customer-facing communications, including email campaigns, newsletters, promotional messaging, event notices, product storytelling, website copy, and social media content.

* Partner with Ecommerce and Merchandising to support product launches, seasonal stories, homepage updates, landing page copy, category messaging, and promotional content.

* Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day work of the Digital and Production Designer, including creative requests, signage, digital assets, print materials, presentation support, and light edits when needed.

* Use basic performance information from email, ecommerce, social media, campaigns, and sales to identify practical improvements to content, timing, messaging, and execution.

* Use AI-enabled tools and practical technology solutions to increase marketing capacity, streamline content planning, support drafting and editing, organize workflows, and improve speed and accuracy without replacing judgment, approvals, or brand standards.

What You Bring

* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Merchandising, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

* 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, retail marketing, customer engagement, ecommerce content, social media, or campaign coordination.

* Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organization, and communication skills.

* Experience coordinating email marketing, digital content, social media, promotional communication, or customer-facing campaigns.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, approvals, and cross-functional requests in a small, hands-on environment.

* Practical understanding of how marketing supports sales, customer engagement, product storytelling, and retail execution.

* Comfort using AI-enabled tools and marketing technology to improve organization, drafting, workflow efficiency, content planning, and productivity.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and common marketing, content, email, social media, or project coordination tools.

* Light editing ability in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is helpful.

* Familiarity with ecommerce environments is helpful. Experience with NetSuite, SuiteCommerce, Shopify, Klaviyo, or similar platforms is a plus, but not required.
