The Role Remix

EMPIRE is looking for a Label Relations Coordinator to join our downtown San Francisco office. This role will report directly to the VP of Label Relations and provide operational, administrative, and campaign coordination support across a high volume of artist releases. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same.


Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and update release timelines, campaign trackers, and internal project management tools.
  • Coordinate day-to-day logistics across multiple simultaneous artist campaigns while ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and approvals remain on schedule.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, and manage follow-up action items.
  • Organize artist assets, marketing materials, campaign folders, and release documentation.
  • Assist with marketing budgets, invoice tracking, expense reconciliation, and campaign reporting.
  • Maintain release calendars and ensure internal teams are working from the most up-to-date campaign information.
  • Compile streaming, playlist, social, and campaign performance metrics for internal reporting and artist recaps.
  • Coordinate requests and communication between artists, managers, label partners, and internal departments.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing, Creative, Commerce, Publicity, DSP Relations, Distribution, and other cross-functional teams to ensure campaign alignment.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, one-sheets, marketing materials, and campaign documentation.
  • Research market trends, competitive releases, and artist opportunities as needed.
  • Proactively identify scheduling conflicts, missing deliverables, or operational bottlenecks before they impact campaign timelines.
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned.

Key Notes for Success

  • 1–3 years of experience in the music, entertainment, or digital marketing industry.
  • Strong interest in artist marketing, label operations, or music distribution.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and project coordination experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Bonus Beats

  • Experience using project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Airtable, Notion, or similar.
  • Experience working with release schedules, marketing campaigns, DSP reporting, or music distribution platforms.
  • Passion for independent music and artist development.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude, strong follow-through, and a "no task is too small" mindset.

Pay Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annual salary + benefits + discretionary bonus + profit sharing program

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
