The Senior Program Manager oversees multiple interdependent programs or portfolios, influences senior stakeholders, and ensures alignment across Product, Engineering/IT, Operations, Client Services, Finance, and external partners. This role translates strategic priorities into executable roadmaps while driving accountability, governance, and measurable value delivery.

The Senior Program Manager serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and resolves ambiguous and high-impact challenges.

Program Leadership & Delivery:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale, enterprise-level programs or portfolios spanning multiple business units
  • Define and drive program strategy, objectives, success metrics, and value realization plans
  • Lead integration of multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment to business priorities and long-term outcomes
  • Translate complex, ambiguous business strategies into structured execution plans and roadmaps
  • Ensure delivery of programs meets or exceeds business outcomes, timelines, budget, and quality expectations
  • Anticipate and proactively address cross-program dependencies, risks, and constraints

Governance:

  • Establish and evolve program governance frameworks and standards
  • Lead executive-level governance forums, including steering committees and decision boards
  • Provide clear, data-driven program insights and executive reporting, including financials, risks, and outcomes
  • Drive decision-making by presenting trade-offs, scenarios, and strategic recommendations
  • Ensure robust documentation and traceability of key decisions, scope changes, and acceptance criteria

Execution:

  • Drive resolution of high-impact risks, issues, and cross-functional conflicts
  • Ensure readiness and alignment for major milestones, including testing, GTM and go-live
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery speed, predictability, and quality
  • Balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on strategic goals

Collaboration:

  • Partner with functional managers, senior leaders, executives, and key stakeholders to align on priorities and outcomes
  • Influence decision-making across organizational boundaries without direct authority
  • Lead and mentor program managers and project managers, driving consistency and capability growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across internal teams, clients, and external partners
  • Act as a key escalation point for critical issues and ensure timely resolution

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional programs or program portfolios
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale initiatives with significant business impact
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with high independence and influence senior/executive stakeholders

  • Advanced knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience in SaaS or technology-enabled services environments
  • Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Wrike, Azure DevOps, MS Project, SharePoint, or Salesforce
