Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Operations Specialist to support the planning, integration, and execution of cyberspace capabilities at the operational and strategic levels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO) and Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO), along with experience in cyberspace targeting, adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and vulnerability exploitation.

The successful candidate will be comfortable translating complex technical concepts into clear operational impacts and recommendations for non-technical personnel, senior leaders, and mission partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and integrate offensive and defensive cyberspace capabilities at the operational and strategic levels.
  • Support Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO) and Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) planning and integration.
  • Conduct and support cyberspace targeting activities.
  • Analyze adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and support TTP emulation activities.
  • Support vulnerability identification, analysis, and exploitation activities.
  • Apply industry-standard cybersecurity tools and frameworks in support of authorized operational requirements.
  • Evaluate cyberspace capabilities, threats, vulnerabilities, and operational risks.
  • Interpret policies, authorities, and legal requirements governing cyberspace operations.
  • Develop clear technical and operational assessments, briefings, and other products for mission stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex technical vulnerabilities, capabilities, and potential operational impacts to non-technical personnel and senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with government and contractor personnel to support mission objectives.
  • Travel as required to support CONUS and OCONUS mission requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyberspace operations, including at least 3 years focused on the planning and integration of cyberspace capabilities, both offensive and defensive, at the operational or strategic level.
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO).
    • Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO).
    • Cyberspace targeting.
    • Adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) emulation.
    • Vulnerability exploitation.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard offensive security tools and frameworks, such as:
    • Cobalt Strike
    • Metasploit
    • Burp Suite
    • Nmap
  • Working knowledge of the policies and legal authorities governing cyberspace operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information, vulnerabilities, and capabilities to non-technical personnel and leadership.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and briefing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mission-focused, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial cybersecurity or information security certifications, such as:
    • CompTIA Security+
    • CompTIA CySA+
    • Other advanced certifications related to cybersecurity planning, operations, or threat intelligence.
  • GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) or comparable threat-intelligence certification.
  • Experience integrating cyber capabilities into broader operational or strategic planning.
  • Experience translating technical cyber assessments into operational recommendations and mission impacts.

Security Requirements

The selected candidate shall possess or be able to obtain:

  • U.S. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Valid U.S. passport.
  • Country-specific visa(s), as required, in accordance with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.

Travel Requirements

CONUS and OCONUS travel is required to fulfill the requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Local travel is authorized, and travel outside the local region is anticipated.
