Patient Access Education Coordinator — Patient Access
Description:
Education Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent, ACPAR preferred
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in a patient accounting/registration setting, five (5) years preferred. Being familiar with all aspects of Patient Financial Services, registrations for all patient types, current Soarian Financials System, billing, accounts receivable, payments, collections Health Data Exchange, Document Imaging, and Trace are highly preferred.
Required Skills: Analytical and organizational skills must be above average. Communication and public relations skills should be excellent. Aptitude for systems analysis and design is required. Must have in-depth knowledge of all third party billing criteria. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Physical Demands: Good physical and mental health required. Must be able to work under stressful and mentally demanding conditions. Able to take call for ED registration area.

Supervised By: Patient Access Director and Patient Access Manager
Patient Access Education Coordinator: Responsible for training and education of all Patient Access representatives for JDAMH and System facilities utilizing Soarian Financials. Responsible for identification of key registration errors/issues and creates education targeted to appropriate areas Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and development
