DUTIES

The Department of Environment, Culture, and Society (ECS) is seeking a sessional instructor to oversee the laboratory sections of GEOG 2020 - Weather, Climate, Global Environment in the Fall 2026 semester. The successful candidate will adopt and revise a lab curriculum, will train, occasionally observe, and supervise the Teaching Assistants (TAs) who will deliver the lab curriculum associated to this course. Previous course assignments are available to support the successful candidate. In person weekly meetings with teaching assistants are according to instructor and teaching assistant availability.

This contract represents 1 workload credit.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD in Geography, Environmental Studies, or discipline sharing similar quantitative data analysis methods required; PhD candidates and/or relevant Master’s Degrees with professional experience that contributes to engaged scholarly teaching will be considered.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability and expertise in the area of specialization.
