Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing lives and strengthening communities through direct service, advocacy, and innovation. We operate across four core service lines:
- Community Strategies (CS): Supporting adults with developmental disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities. Providing a range of top-quality residential and non-residential programs for men and women with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Our programs offer individual and group treatment and are geared toward promoting independence and improving life skills. Clients also receive support with job development, on-the-job coaching, and educational opportunities.
- Reentry Services (RS): Supporting people leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions. We firmly believe that change is possible and attainable for all that we serve. With a strict focus on outcomes, the Reentry Services Division is committed to delivering contemporary and evidence-based services to the individuals in our care. Through delivering innovative programming and collaborating with community agencies, we provide hope and support to our clients as they make safe and successful transitions into their communities.
- Crime & Justice Institute (CJI): Driving bold, transformative improvements in adult and youth justice systems by working with working with local, state, and national criminal justice organizations to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. The CJI team brings decades of experience developing evidence-based, data-driven policies, managing complex processes with diverse stakeholders, and driving systems-level organizational change. Our energetic staff and network of consultants come from a variety of backgrounds.
- Family Reentry (FRE): At Family Reentry, we address the often-intertwining problems of behavioral health, domestic violence, reentry, recidivism, and risks to youth by offering evidence-based interventions to provide support and effect positive change. We offer a holistic approach by working to connect clients to basic needs and offering support to create change and increase stronger coping and life skills.

Job Summary: Supervise the delivery of excellent and high-quality residential services to the individuals receiving support from Community Strategies in Massachusetts. Support a culture that develops superior agency wide operations through a leadership role in Community Strategies. Develop services within a Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) focus.
Functional Responsibilities:
Residential Management
1. Ensure high quality residential services to all individuals delivered within a team management approach
2. Hire, train, supervise and manage the performance of program operations staff with particular focus on each of the Residential Directors.
3. In coordination with the CS and CRJ Training teams, ensure compliance of all CSMA employees in completing required agency and DDS trainings, on-time.
4. Work cooperatively with the Senior Director and Deputy Director to provide a seamless service delivery model within the state’s framework.
5. Develop and implement Policies and Procedures in accordance with the regulations of the State of Massachusetts and consistent with CRJ agency practice
6. Implement and support an on-call system that meets the needs of individuals and employees in residential care settings
Community Strategies Leadership
7. Participate as a member of the CS management and leadership teams.
8. Represent CRJ/CS in meetings with stakeholders, including funders, families, guardians, regulatory and review committees and agencies.
9. Coordinate the support and services provided by both the Facilities Team and the Technology Services team (IT) across all the CSMA residential locations.
10. Maintain awareness of the importance of diversity in our workforce and management team
Treatment Services
11. Able to apply all the tenants of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) in work with individuals and staff
12. Develop new programs throughout Massachusetts, in conjunction with the Vice President and Senior Director, that are consistent with high quality of services and the agency mission
13. In conjunction with the Clinical Director, Director of Nursing and Senior Director, oversee the intake assessment of potential new individuals to residential care.
14. Participate as part of the treatment teams and risk meetings as needed for individuals with complex clinical and medical needs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree (or four years of management experience in Human Services)
2. Minimum of 5 years of management experience with DD or ID populations required.
3. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field, preferred
4. Bilingual, bicultural, encouraged
5. Experience in the management of residential treatment and/or community-based group homes, required.
6. Experience using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), preferred.
7. Significant experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, required.
8. Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write detailed and extensive reports.
9. Excellent expressive language skills, both in 1:1 and group settings. The ability to adjust a presentation to the receptive abilities of listeners.
10. Excellent receptive language skills, including the ability to understand speakers of varying levels of competence and actively listen
11. Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
12. Constructively work in an agency setting with supervisors, peers, managers and staff
13. Ability to use appropriate conflict resolution techniques.
14. Ability to pass First Aid, CPR

The pay range for this role is:
108,800 - 152,300 USD per year(US)
