We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced maintenance operator. The Maintenance Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of machinery in the manufacturing environment. This role ensures that machines are running efficiently and effectively, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Machine Operation:
• Operate manufacturing machinery according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal production quality and efficiency.
• Load and unload materials into machines as required.
Maintenance:
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent machine failures and extend machinery lifespan.
Quality Control:
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Report any discrepancies or defects to the supervisor immediately.
Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of machine operation, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Log any incidents, machine malfunctions, or maintenance performed in the maintenance management system.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with the maintenance team and production staff to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding machine status and any issues that arise.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
• Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification or training in machinery maintenance preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills
• Proven experience as a machine operator and/or maintenance technician in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.

• Ability to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions. Exposure to hot, cold, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather.

• Are sometimes exposed to hazardous situations that might produce minor cuts or scrapes.
• Are occasionally exposed to bright or dim lighting conditions.
• May deal with sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
