Job Description
Summary/Objective: The Lending Director position within LDF Holdings is pivotal in ensuring the profitability, stability, growth, and risk management of our Tribally owned business operating in the Tribal Lending Industry. As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for strategic planning, execution, and management across various domains including finance, operations, compliance, and business development. The ideal candidate will possess experience in banking and / or lending operations.
Job Duties:
•In-depth knowledge of secured and unsecured loan operations, consumer lending, loan underwriting, and applicable regulatory requirements.
•Implement and coordinate oversight of LDF Holdings’ annual budget and the operating budgets for all individually owned or managed Tribal Lending Entities, in coordination with the CEO, CFO, and third-party service providers, as applicable.
•Analyze, develop, present, and direct company and departmental financial goals, objectives, and budgets.
•Present at board meetings and compile reports for the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors on behalf of LDF Holdings, further ensuring those applicable have the information necessary to perform their fiduciary duties and other governance responsibilities.
•Seek, develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with investors, vendors, strategic partners, and industry leaders.
•Review and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms for the company, advise on strategic business decisions, and ensure adherence to contracts by both LDF Holdings and contracted parties.
•Provide visionary leadership and make strategic business decisions based on knowledge and understanding of the most current case laws, tribal and federal laws, and regulations.
•Oversee all internal departments and respective management team members, including legal, vendor relations, compliance, operations, and administration, to evaluate and maintain control of all legal, financial, regulatory, operational, and reputational risks.
•Identify, research, and present sound direction on new industry businesses and capital sources which will create economic diversification, community development, and ensure Tribal Lending Business growth.
•Ensure timely and appropriate resolution of consumer complaints, regulatory inquiries, and tribal requests for information.
•Maintain a working knowledge of banking operations and agreements such as DACA (Deposit Account Control Agreement), ACH (Automated Clearing House) agreements, and wire agreements.
•Manage multiple bank accounts for various companies effectively.
•Oversee payment processing operations, including managing contracts and accounts with payment processing companies.
•Develop, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and enhance the performance of each functional unit within the company.

Required Skills:

Required Education and Experience:
•Master’s Degree or MBA in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
•Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Lending Industry with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
•Comprehensive understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
•Experience and/or knowledge of Tribal Sovereignty.
•Combination of experience and education considered in lieu of requirements.
Preferred Education and Experience:
•Experience in contract negotiations and/or vendor management.
•Experience and/or knowledge of Tribal Business Operations and/or Tribal Law.
•Experience in the Online Lending Industry.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: Some travel is required for this position.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met
by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and listen. The role requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time and use dual monitors.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time and exempt position. Days and hours of the week are primarily M-F: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m, but as a senior leader available after hours and weekends as job duties demand.
