Job Description

Corporate Development and FP&A Consultant

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Corporate Development and FP&A Consultant in Australia.

This role sits at the intersection of corporate strategy, M&A execution, and financial planning within a fast-scaling, data-driven environment. You will support high-impact strategic initiatives while also strengthening group-wide forecasting and financial modelling capabilities. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will contribute to decisions that shape capital allocation, investment opportunities, and long-term growth. The position involves both hands-on analytical work and end-to-end project ownership across corporate development activities. You will engage with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and execution quality. This is a high-visibility role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys combining financial rigor with strategic thinking. The role is fully remote within Australia, offering flexibility and access to collaborative workspaces when needed.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and support corporate development initiatives including M&A, investments, structuring, and other strategic transactions, ensuring structured execution from analysis through to integration.
  • Build, refine, and maintain advanced financial models, including three-statement forecasting models, valuation tools, and scenario analyses.
  • Manage end-to-end deal processes, including due diligence, financial analysis, negotiation support, and post-transaction integration planning.
  • Partner with senior finance leaders to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes across the business.
  • Deliver variance analysis and financial performance insights, identifying key drivers and recommending improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of strategic and capital management projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial reporting frameworks and corporate planning processes.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in investment banking, transaction services (TS/TAS), corporate advisory, or corporate development/FP&A in a data-driven environment.
  • Proven experience managing corporate-level projects such as M&A, capital raising, or similar strategic transactions.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, including advanced three-statement modelling, valuation techniques, and forecasting.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and commercial thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities, including interaction with senior leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with multiple competing priorities.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work arrangement within Australia.
  • Access to co-working spaces in major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
  • Continuous learning and development opportunities through structured learning platforms and professional courses.
  • Employee discounts across a large network of retailers through rewards programs.
  • Mental health and wellbeing support through dedicated platforms.
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth, innovative healthtech environment.
  • Exposure to high-impact corporate development and strategic finance work.
  • Collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation and results.
