This is a senior finance leadership role at the core of commercial strategy and revenue governance within a fast-paced, high-growth digital advertising environment. You will own the financial structure and integrity of complex commercial agreements, ensuring every deal is backed by rigorous economic logic and aligned with long-term business objectives. The role sits at the intersection of strategic finance, deal structuring, and revenue operations, with direct influence on how large-scale advertising partnerships are evaluated and approved. You will partner closely with senior leadership, FP&A, and go-to-market teams to shape pricing, manage deal performance, and ensure disciplined financial decision-making. Acting as the ultimate authority on deal economics, you will oversee revenue adjustments, accruals, and forecasting integrity across multiple programs. - Own the end-to-end financial governance of commercial deals, including structuring, approval frameworks, and ongoing performance monitoring across standard and non-standard agreements.
- Serve as the DRI for revenue adjustments, ensuring accuracy, logic integrity, and full reconciliation of weekly reporting outputs and financial datasets.
- Lead financial modeling for complex, non-standard deals, including scenario analysis, risk assessment, and recommendation of optimal commercial structures.
- Partner with FP&A and GTM teams to lead weekly performance reviews, explain variances, and ensure alignment on revenue expectations and reporting outcomes.
- Maintain and enforce Deal Desk policies, approval matrices, and eligibility thresholds, while contributing to periodic strategic reviews with senior leadership.
- Oversee accruals and revenue recognition support for all key deal structures, ensuring defensible accounting logic and readiness for executive-level review.
- Monitor deal performance and cash flow against assumptions, proactively identifying deviations and recommending corrective financial actions.
- Lead cross-functional alignment on active deal pipeline management, ensuring timely incorporation of business updates into financial models and forecasts.
- Manage and mentor a Senior Analyst, providing guidance on prioritization, modeling quality, and analytical rigor within the Deal Desk function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic finance, commercial finance, deal desk, revenue operations, or related roles, with at least 5 years owning complex deal structuring or commercial agreements.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, revenue forecasting, and commercial deal evaluation in high-volume or high-growth environments.
- Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles, accrual accounting, and financial controls in commercial operations.
- Proven ability to independently evaluate complex deal economics and present clear, defensible recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical judgment with the ability to balance commercial pressure and financial discipline while maintaining credibility and alignment.
- Demonstrated experience acting as a decision owner (DRI) in cross-functional environments with high accountability and ambiguity.
- Strong communication and executive presence, with experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership (including CXO level).
- Experience in digital advertising, programmatic media, or ad tech is a strong asset.
- Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus and equity components
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage (country-dependent)
- Retirement savings plan and employer contribution options
- Flexible remote-first work environment with global collaboration
- Paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and wellness-focused benefits
- Learning and development support, including professional growth opportunities
- Exposure to high-impact strategic deals within a fast-scaling global organization
- Inclusive and collaborative culture focused on innovation and accountability
- Base compensation range (Canada OTE): CAD 185,000 – 230,000, plus variable compensation and equity eligibility.
