We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Coordinator to oversee the company's inventory processes and maintain inventory accuracy throughout the facility. This individual will coordinate inbound shipments, process receiving documentation, maintain accurate inventory records within NetSuite, perform routine cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and work closely with Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure materials are received, stored, and accounted for accurately. This position serves as the primary owner of inventory integrity and plays a critical role in supporting efficient manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary owner of inventory accuracy for the facility.
  • Coordinate and schedule inbound shipments with vendors and freight carriers ensuring proper documentation is received prior to scheduling.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and store incoming materials, products, tools, and equipment.
  • Verify packing slips against purchase orders and received materials before posting receipts.
  • Process all receiving documentation and accurately enter inventory transactions into NetSuite.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory transactions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Enter finished goods inventory into the ERP system.
  • Execute routine cycle count schedules to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with annual physical inventories.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and reconcile inventory variances.
  • Recommend corrective actions to Plant Manager to eliminate recurring inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and maintain established inventory accuracy goals.
  • Audit inventory locations to ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, and stored.
  • Ensure inventory is organized and stored in designated warehouse locations.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining FIFO inventory practices where applicable.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to Purchasing.
  • Resolve receiving discrepancies with vendors and the Purchasing department.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Operations to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Ensure production has accurate inventory available to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Monitor ERP reports for inventory exceptions, negative inventory, and transaction errors.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving dock and inventory storage areas.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Utilize NetSuite ERP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other related software to maintain inventory records and reports.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and material flow.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standardized inventory procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, receiving, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred.

  • Experience using an ERP system; NetSuite experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and inventory accuracy.

  • Proven ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to operate a forklift or obtain forklift certification.

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
