JOB DESCRIPTION
Production Accountability Clerk – PLANT OPERATIONS
The Production Accountability Clerk is responsible for processing reports, data entry, data reconciliation, inventory tracking, and other duties related to supporting daily plant operations.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter who can prioritize multiple responsibilities, communicate effectively with plant personnel, and be able to work independently while collaborating as part of a team with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate consistently follows through on assigned responsibilities, communicates the status of outstanding items, and proactively resolves issues before they affect plant operations.
The key responsibilities are:
- Collect, verify, and enter daily production information into the AS400 program.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Verify production data accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare documentation for regulatory and internal audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and process purchase orders as needed.
- Support Purchasing and Production with inventory tracking and production planning.
He or she will be required to sit and stand for long periods of time. Will be required to lift and move large amounts of paperwork (boxes of files). Will be required to stoop, bend, and reach above the head and below the knees to file and retrieve data. Will be required to perform job duties in the plant, in an office setting and occasionally outdoors.
Required qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through with assigned responsibilities and timely communication
- Strong problem-solving skills and the initiative to investigate discrepancies to resolution
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work well with numbers
- Previous experience with data entry
- Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Excel
The following qualifications are preferred, but not required:
- Previous experience in a production setting
- Previous experience with ERP systems (AS400 preferred)
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including creating and modifying spreadsheets
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM - 5:PM; Some overtime may be required
Particular jobs may require differing hours or weekend work.
