This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Manager - Municipal Market based in the United States.
This is a remote, full-time opportunity focused on driving profitable growth across the municipal water treatment market in the Midwest.
You will own a multi-state territory and develop strategies that expand market share, revenue, and customer value.
The role combines consultative sales, business development, account management, and technical solution selling.
You will build trusted relationships with municipal decision-makers, operators, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
Working closely with commercial, technical, marketing, pricing, and corporate teams, you will create tailored solutions that deliver measurable results.
Your work will contribute to more efficient operations, improved water treatment outcomes, and long-term customer partnerships.

- Develop and execute territory growth strategies designed to achieve revenue, profitability, and market-share objectives across the assigned Midwest territory.
- Identify, qualify, pursue, and close new municipal business opportunities while expanding relationships and solutions within existing accounts.
- Sell new applications, technologies, and treatment solutions by clearly communicating customer value, operational benefits, and return on investment.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with municipal decision-makers, water treatment operators, engineers, and other influential stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Corporate Accounts, Marketing, Pricing, Technical, and other internal teams to develop customer-focused solutions and accelerate business growth.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and reliable revenue forecast using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
- Manage account profitability through effective pricing strategies, program optimization, and support for accounts receivable activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve treatment programs, operational procedures, and customer-site practices while reinforcing a strong safety culture.
- Deliver responsive, high-quality customer service that strengthens retention, increases customer value, and supports sustainable territory growth.
- Monitor market conditions, customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to continuously refine territory strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or a related commercial role, ideally involving complex B2B solutions.
- Demonstrated success in generating revenue growth, developing strategic accounts, and winning new business.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-management capabilities.
- Proven ability to understand customer challenges and translate technical or operational solutions into clear business value and measurable ROI.
- Experience working with CRM platforms; Salesforce (SFDC) experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in municipal water, wastewater, water treatment, or a closely related industry is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a broad territory with a high degree of independence.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to manage pipelines, forecasts, account profitability, and multiple priorities.
