Summary Statement
The Associate Director of Community Partnerships and Digital Fundraising is a key member of the Development team responsible for advancing the organization’s mission by expanding community relationships and leading innovative digital fundraising efforts. This role enhances the nonprofit’s visibility, mobilizes supporters, and drives philanthropic investment across diverse communities.
The Associate Director cultivates strategic partnerships with community organizations, local businesses, civic groups, and grassroots networks, while also leading digital fundraising initiatives that inspire donor engagement and broaden the organization’s base of support. The ideal candidate blends relationship‑building, strategic leadership, and digital fluency with a deep commitment to social impact and equity.
Responsibilities
Community Partnerships
Cultivate, steward, and expand partnerships with schools, faith‑based organizations, community centers, local businesses, civic leaders, and mission‑aligned nonprofits.
Develop community engagement strategies that strengthen awareness of the organization’s mission and activate community members as donors, volunteers, and advocates.
Represent the organization at community meetings, partner events, coalitions, and public forums to build meaningful connections.
Create partnership toolkits, presentations, and engagement plans that align community partners with programmatic and fundraising goals.
Digital Fundraising & Donor Engagement
Lead the creation and execution of digital fundraising campaigns including Giving Tuesday, One Huge Day, year‑end appeals, peer‑to‑peer fundraising, and multi‑channel digital engagement.
Oversee online donor acquisition strategies, email campaigns, social media fundraising, and other digital touchpoints.
Work closely with Marketing to develop compelling mission-driven digital content that reflects organizational values and elevates community voices.
Manage digital fundraising platforms, track donor conversion metrics, and apply data-driven optimization to increase engagement and revenue.
Utilize Matchquest and analytics tools to identify trends, opportunities, and donor segments to support long-term donor pipeline growth.
Team Leadership & Cross-Department Collaboration
Collaborate with Marketing, and Development teams to ensure cohesive messaging and coordinated outreach.
Contribute to annual fundraising planning, budget development, and revenue forecasting.
Prepare dashboards, impact reports, and partnership summaries for senior leadership, funders, and the Board of Directors.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs, Business, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, community engagement, partnership development, or digital campaigns.
Demonstrated success managing digital fundraising initiatives and donor-facing communications.
Strong relationship‑building skills with experience engaging diverse communities.
Proficiency with nonprofit CRMs and digital engagement tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
