This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director Enterprise Applications based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to transform an enterprise applications organization into a high-performing, business-embedded, and AI-enabled strategic function.
You will lead teams spanning business relationship management, product ownership, business analysis, and project management while partnering closely with technology and business leaders.
A key focus will be establishing disciplined operating models, governance frameworks, and delivery standards that improve quality, predictability, and execution speed.
You will align technology investments and application roadmaps with enterprise priorities, helping position technology as a trusted strategic partner to the business.
The role also provides an opportunity to introduce AI-enabled workflows and automation that measurably improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes.
You will lead and develop a diverse organization while driving improvements across portfolio governance, requirements discovery, delivery performance, and stakeholder satisfaction.

- Lead the transformation of the Enterprise Applications service delivery organization into a disciplined, high-performing solution delivery function with clear operating models, governance frameworks, and delivery processes.
- Establish standards and practices that improve delivery throughput, predictability, quality, and overall business outcomes.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with senior business leaders and align enterprise application investments, capabilities, and roadmaps with strategic business priorities.
- Establish effective portfolio and demand governance processes covering intake, prioritization, capacity planning, execution, and backlog management.
- Rationalize application and project backlogs while balancing organizational capacity against business demand and strategic priorities.
- Identify, implement, and scale AI-enabled tools, workflows, automation, and practices across relationship management, product ownership, business analysis, and project management.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled delivery practices and establish measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and speed.
- Strengthen requirements discovery and solution readiness by standardizing requirements elicitation, process analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and related practices.
- Establish enterprise-wide operating standards for intake, prioritization, planning, execution, reporting, and governance.
- Develop executive-level reporting, performance dashboards, and delivery metrics that provide clear visibility into portfolio health and organizational performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and individual contributors across multiple disciplines, establishing clear expectations, accountability structures, career development opportunities, and succession plans.
- Define and track measurable performance outcomes, including reduced lead times, healthier backlogs, improved stakeholder satisfaction, and productivity gains from AI-enabled delivery.
- Partner closely with Enterprise Application Engineering, Architecture, Security, and business stakeholders to ensure effective alignment and execution across the technology organization.
- Continuously evaluate delivery practices, organizational capabilities, and technology processes to identify opportunities for improvement and greater business value.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across Enterprise Applications, technology delivery, product management, program management, or related disciplines.
- 6+ years of experience leading managers and large, cross-functional technology organizations.
- Demonstrated success transforming technology delivery organizations, operating models, or enterprise application functions across complex portfolios and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Experience leading or overseeing Business Relationship Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, and/or Project Management organizations.
- Proven experience establishing governance frameworks, delivery standards, operating models, performance metrics, and executive reporting structures.
- Experience implementing AI-enabled workflows, automation capabilities, and modern Agile, hybrid, or enterprise-scale delivery practices is preferred.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise business systems such as ERP, HCM, Finance, Payroll, CRM, or comparable platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application portfolios, delivery metrics, demand management, governance, and capacity planning.
- Strong executive presence with a demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with senior business and technology leaders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technology topics into clear business priorities and outcomes.
- Strong organizational, strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through organizational transformation while building accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and disciplines across a large enterprise technology environment.
- Ability to work at a desk or workstation for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours per day, and effectively operate computers, phone systems, and multiple software applications simultaneously.
Benefits:
- Base salary range of $170,000–$230,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
