About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Moncton, NB. This is a 15-month contract, on-site position, reporting directly to the HR Manager, and provides day-to-day support across all core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, immigration support, and internal communications.
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting managers and employees, ensuring smooth HR operations, and contributing to a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace culture.

Recruitment & Onboarding
We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Moncton, NB. This is a 15-month contract, on-site position, reporting directly to the HR Manager, and provides day-to-day support across all core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, immigration support, and internal communications.
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting managers and employees, ensuring smooth HR operations, and contributing to a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate job postings, resume screening, interviews, and selection processes
- Manage onboarding activities, including orientations, documentation, and system access
- Support workforce planning initiatives, career events, and student plant tours
- Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
- Support managers with performance management, attendance, and conflict resolution
- Assist foreign workers with immigration-related processes
- Conduct exit interviews and track turnover metrics
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Act as a super user (SU) of the HR system
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support audits, reporting, and documentation needs
- Support the implementation and tracking of training and development programs
- Monitor training completion and effectiveness
- Assist with performance review cycles, goal tracking, and feedback processes
- Support talent development and succession planning initiatives
- Participate in HR initiatives such as employee engagement, wellness, diversity & inclusion, and policy updates
- Maintain and update internal communications (digital monitors, noticeboards, communication plans) to ensure timely and consistent messaging
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a multi-functional HR role
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and HR systems (HRIS, ATS)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Time management and prioritization
- Adaptability and teamwork
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong customer service orientation
