PPG Health is a physician-led group practice in Fort Worth spanning Primary Care, Nephrology, Transplant, along with Inpatient services.

Position Summary

We are hiring nurse practitioners and physician assistants across several service lines (Inpatient and outpatient) . Rather than a single fixed role, we have a set of defined coverage assignments and match each provider to the one that fits their training, interests, and career goals. All assignments are Monday through Friday. Inpatient may require one weekend every 6 weeks.

Core Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by assignment. Across every role, the APP is expected to:

• Evaluate and manage patients independently within their scope, with a supervising physician available in real time
• Carry a defined patient load with continuity
• Document accurately and completely, so the note reflects the work actually performed
• Code and bill accurately for services rendered, understanding this as a compliance obligation rather than a revenue exercise
• Capture required preventive and quality measures relevant to the population served
• Communicate and coordinate with nephrology, transplant, hospital, dialysis, and primary care teams as the assignment requires
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled
• Contribute to workflow and operational improvement in their clinic or service

• Reduced initial patient load that steps up on a defined timeline rather than all at once
• An assigned physician mentor and a named supervising physician for the assignment
• Documentation and coding coaching from the first week, with direct feedback
• Scheduled competency check-ins during the first year - no surprises at the annual review
• Written collaboration and delegation agreements, with documented chart review at a defined cadence
• A clear path to expand scope as clinical judgment and volume readiness are demonstrated

Qualifications Required

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, or of an accredited nurse practitioner program with a population focus appropriate to the assignment
• NCCPA certification (PA) or national certification through AANP or ANCC (NP), Critical Care Training, or eligibility with certification obtained prior to start
• Current Texas licensure, or eligibility for licensure prior to start date
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required for inpatient and dialysis assignments
• DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain

Preferred

Clinical rotation or work experience in nephrology, transplant, dialysis, internal medicine, or primary care

Comfort with inpatient workflow and cross-team communication for hospital-based assignments

Interest in longitudinal patient relationships and chronic disease management
