This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Implementation Consultant - Board EPM based in Canada.
This is a hands-on consulting opportunity for an experienced EPM professional who enjoys turning complex financial planning processes into scalable technology solutions. You will lead end-to-end implementations of Board EPM, working closely with enterprise clients from discovery and requirements gathering through deployment and user enablement. The role combines strong FP&A knowledge with functional design, solution configuration, and client-facing consulting. You will facilitate workshops, translate business needs into effective models, and help clients modernize budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting. Beyond project delivery, you will contribute to improving implementation methodologies and mentoring other consultants. This is a fully remote role offering the opportunity to work with a high-growth EPM practice and enterprise organizations across North America.
- Lead EPM implementations: Own end-to-end Board EPM projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and user enablement.
- Translate FP&A processes: Convert budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and performance-management requirements into scalable Board models and functional solutions.
- Facilitate client discovery: Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and process-design interviews to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage delivery: Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, priorities, and client expectations to ensure successful and timely implementation outcomes.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner with project management, solution architecture, technical, and other delivery teams to align functional requirements and implementation activities.
- Develop client materials: Create executive-level documentation, dashboards, training resources, and other materials that support adoption and ongoing use of implemented solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement: Contribute to delivery methodologies, reusable accelerators, implementation best practices, and improvements to the overall consulting approach.
- Support team development: Share expertise and mentor other consultants, helping strengthen functional knowledge, delivery quality, and Board EPM capabilities across the practice.
- Board EPM expertise: At least 4 years of experience implementing Board EPM solutions within a consulting environment is required.
- FP&A background: Strong practical experience with financial planning and analysis, including corporate budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, consolidation, and performance reporting.
- Financial expertise: Solid understanding of managerial accounting and the financial processes that underpin enterprise planning and performance management.
- Functional design: Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear, scalable functional system designs.
- Data and modeling: Strong Excel skills and experience with data modeling and structured financial analysis.
- Consulting skills: Proven ability to work directly with clients, facilitate workshops, manage expectations, and navigate complex business requirements.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ownership: A delivery-focused mindset with strong organization, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred qualifications: Board certification, SQL or scripting experience, and experience working with enterprise clients are strong advantages.
