This executive sales leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth across a major-market enterprise region.
You will lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 8–10 Sales Directors, creating a high-performance culture centered on accountability and continuous improvement.
The role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership across sales execution, pipeline management, forecasting, territory optimization, and talent development.
You will establish regional goals, align sales strategies with broader business objectives, and ensure teams consistently deliver against revenue targets.
The position also requires close collaboration with marketing, finance, operations, recruiting, and other cross-functional partners.
You will build relationships with key customers and stakeholders while helping resolve escalated issues and unlock new growth opportunities.

- Develop and execute comprehensive regional sales strategies designed to achieve revenue, growth, staffing, and market objectives.
- Establish regional sales goals, quotas, activity expectations, and action plans aligned with broader business priorities.
- Lead and coach a team of approximately 8–10 Sales Directors, providing ongoing guidance, mentorship, performance management, and professional development.
- Review monthly sales objectives and weekly activity goals with Sales Directors and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
- Oversee the regional sales pipeline and forecasting process, ensuring accurate projections and alignment with revenue targets.
- Hold sales leaders and Account Executives accountable for revenue performance, activity standards, hiring, career development, sales processes, and day-to-day leadership responsibilities.
- Monitor individual and team KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement strategies to improve results.
- Optimize territories and assign quotas to maximize market coverage, productivity, and revenue potential.
- Contribute regional insights, recommendations, and action plans to strategic business reviews and organizational planning.
- Manage customer complaints and escalations effectively, maintaining a clear escalation process and ensuring timely resolution.
- Partner with marketing, finance, operations, recruiting, and other cross-functional teams to improve sales processes and organizational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal partners to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop diverse, high-performing sales talent.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, high achievement, and continuous improvement across the sales organization.
- Provide leadership that enables Sales Directors and Account Executives to consistently achieve their sales and quota responsibilities.
- 7–10 years of experience selling major-account payroll, HR, time and attendance, HCM, or related solutions to large and complex organizations.
- At least 5 years of proven sales leadership experience in a comparable senior management capacity.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing highly skilled, motivated, and results-oriented enterprise sales teams.
- Proven ability to lead leaders, coach Sales Directors, and build high-performing sales organizations.
- Strong track record of developing and executing strategic sales plans that generate sustainable revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of enterprise customer needs, market dynamics, competitive environments, and complex sales cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to establish sales goals, manage pipelines, improve forecast accuracy, and drive consistent quota attainment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and collaborate effectively with marketing, finance, operations, recruiting, and other teams.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly when managing escalations or performance challenges.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing market while maintaining focus on strategic priorities and execution.

- Ability to travel to prospective client sites and operate effectively in a professional office environment.
- Ability to perform the physical and cognitive requirements associated with the position, including sitting, standing, walking, driving, reading, writing, analysis, calculation, and regular computer use.
- Base salary of $250,000–$275,000 per year, with actual offers varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
- Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
