This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Manager - HR Services based in Canada.
This is a client-facing sales and account management opportunity focused on building long-term relationships with HR, Talent, and Learning & Development leaders. You will manage an existing portfolio while identifying opportunities to expand accounts and generate new business. The role combines consultative account management with proactive business development and relationship building. You will connect client needs with a broad range of HR research, advisory, consulting, training, analytics, and workshop solutions. Success will depend on your ability to understand business priorities, uncover opportunities, and create meaningful value for clients. You will work collaboratively with research, product, and other internal teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. The position is fully remote within Canada.
- Proactively manage a portfolio of client accounts through regular service conversations, ensuring strong engagement, strategic alignment, and continued value from membership services.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with HR executives and other senior stakeholders by understanding their priorities, challenges, and organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts through relevant workshops, executive services, consulting, training, research, and other solutions.
- Develop new business by following up on marketing leads, conducting warm and cold outreach, leveraging referrals, and engaging personal and professional networks.
- Reconnect with former clients when they transition to new organizations and identify opportunities to establish new business relationships.
- Schedule and support sales presentations with prospective clients and effectively communicate solutions aligned with their business and HR priorities.
- Collaborate with Research, Product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure client needs are communicated effectively and opportunities are pursued appropriately.
- Gather client feedback, testimonials, and insights to strengthen relationships and contribute to service improvement.
- Maintain accurate client information, opportunity details, proposals, and account activity within the CRM while following internal reporting and documentation processes.
- Manage multiple client conversations, follow-ups, meetings, and sales activities efficiently while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and organization.
- Post-secondary education, with a minimum College Diploma.
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience combined with a university degree, or 5+ years of B2B sales experience combined with a College Diploma.
- Demonstrated experience managing ongoing B2B client relationships and engaging stakeholders in meaningful conversations around strategy, business priorities, and operational effectiveness.
- Strong ability to identify and develop commercial opportunities within existing accounts, through referrals, professional networks, former clients, and other relationship-based channels.
- Excellent active listening skills, with the ability to uncover client needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, particularly when managing multiple accounts, meetings, follow-ups, proposals, and sales activities simultaneously.
- Solid business acumen and the ability to communicate confidently using business and commercial terminology.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and consultative selling abilities, with confidence engaging HR and other senior business stakeholders.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to independently develop a territory, pursue opportunities, and consistently follow through.
- Comfort working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate account records, activity notes, and sales documentation.
