This role offers an opportunity to analyze the economic, financial, and market dynamics shaping India’s petrochemical industry. You will contribute research that supports a more diverse, sustainable, and resilient energy economy. The position focuses on key areas including agrochemicals, textiles, financial institutions, investment, and industry policy. You will combine quantitative analysis, market research, and financial expertise to develop meaningful insights and forecasts. Working remotely, you will collaborate with an international team while managing projects independently and engaging with influential external stakeholders. Your research and written work will help inform discussions around the future of petrochemical infrastructure and the broader energy transition.
- Conduct detailed research and analysis across the petrochemical industry, with a particular focus on the agrochemical and textile sectors in India.
- Analyze banks, financing structures, investment mechanisms, and financial institutions connected to the petrochemical industry.
- Monitor industry developments through articles, annual reports, investor presentations, market publications, and other relevant sources to identify emerging trends and risks.
- Develop forecasts and assess economic and market trends affecting India’s agrochemical and textile sectors within the petrochemical value chain.
- Collect, organize, and analyze economic and financial data using established datasets, data-collection methodologies, statistical techniques, and quantitative models.
- Engage with regulators, government stakeholders, banking institutions, investors, multilateral development banks, and other relevant organizations in India and internationally.
- Represent the organization at relevant meetings, forums, and stakeholder discussions while building strong professional relationships.
- Collaborate with colleagues and independently develop original, compelling, and professionally presented reports, commentaries, submissions, press releases, and presentations.
- Support the drafting, formatting, editing, and proofreading of research and communications materials while taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
- 2–4 years of experience in economics, finance, or a related field, including at least 2 years of experience working with India’s petrochemical industry, particularly agrochemicals.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, public policy, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong experience analyzing industry growth and its impact on the wider economy, including financial reporting, equities, investment portfolios, and related financial considerations.
- Solid understanding of finance, public policy, quantitative analysis, and the economic factors influencing energy and industrial markets.
- Knowledge of the policy and regulatory environment surrounding India’s petrochemical industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research into clear reports, commentaries, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
- High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new software and analytical tools.
- Strong self-management skills, including the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and remain productive in a remote environment.
- Strong commitment to advancing a diverse, sustainable, and profitable energy economy.
- Knowledge or experience in ammonia and agrochemical markets is preferred.

- Full-time, 12-month fixed-term employment contract, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement.
