This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced proposal professional to lead complex, strategic pursuits for prospective and existing customers globally.
You’ll own the proposal lifecycle from qualification and planning through writing, review, submission, and continuous improvement.
The role requires strong collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Services, Finance, Legal, Security, Marketing, and other business functions.
You’ll combine strategic thinking, competitive awareness, exceptional writing, and project management to create compelling and differentiated responses.
As a senior member of the Proposal Management function, you’ll influence stakeholders, mentor colleagues, and help strengthen proposal operations and best practices.

You’ll also contribute to the adoption of AI-enabled tools and scalable processes that improve proposal quality, efficiency, and pursuit outcomes.
- Lead the end-to-end management of complex, high-impact RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other proposal responses supporting prospective and existing customers globally.
- Facilitate bid qualification discussions and help drive informed decisions around pursuit readiness, strategic alignment, and overall approach.
- Develop proposal plans covering timelines, stakeholder coordination, risks, dependencies, escalations, and cross-functional contributor management.
- Independently manage multiple complex proposal pursuits simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting strict deadlines.
- Apply strategic thinking, competitive awareness, and proposal expertise to develop compelling, differentiated, and high-quality responses.
- Contribute to pursuit strategy, messaging, positioning, competitiveness, and recommendations for improving proposal effectiveness.
- Lead the writing, editing, development, and refinement of proposal content, ensuring responses are compliant, persuasive, strategically aligned, accurate, and error-free.
- Review and guide executive summaries, cover letters, key messaging, and other critical proposal components.
- Partner with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders to develop responses while maintaining a strong understanding of products, services, value propositions, and competitive positioning.
- Ensure proposal content aligns with brand, messaging, and style standards while adapting the approach to different audiences, opportunities, and levels of complexity.
- Build strong working relationships with Sales, Solution Engineering, Services, Finance, Legal, Security, Marketing, and other teams involved in strategic pursuits.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and experienced resource within the Proposal Management team, supporting onboarding, knowledge sharing, and mentoring on best practices and complex pursuits.
- Identify opportunities to improve proposal processes, content, tools, workflows, and scalable operating practices based on lessons learned and evolving business needs.
- Leverage proposal automation, AI-enabled technologies, and evolving best practices to improve operational efficiency, proposal quality, team effectiveness, and pursuit outcomes.
- 7+ years of experience in a similar position within a fast-paced, high-volume proposal writing or proposal management environment.
- Direct experience in the high-tech industry is preferred, while experience developing proposals for education or other key verticals is considered an asset.
- Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and executive communication skills, with the ability to create compelling, audience-focused, strategically aligned proposal responses.
- Demonstrated ability to develop processes and reusable content that support new business areas, growth, and evolving organizational needs.
- APMP certification or equivalent proposal management qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Adobe applications, and proposal automation software.
- Demonstrated ability to use and promote AI-enabled tools and modern proposal management practices to improve quality, efficiency, and pursuit outcomes.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage competing priorities and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence contributors and senior stakeholders across functions.
- Strong business judgment, competitive awareness, strategic thinking, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Technical Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- CAD $102,500–$120,000 annual base salary, with the final offer determined by relevant knowledge, skills, education, training, experience, geographic market data, and internal and external competitiveness.
