Job Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, and policy enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to employment law, as well as compliance with FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and other applicable areas of employment law.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and administering Human Resources policies and responding to inquiries related to such policies.
- Work with department managers to resolve employment-related issues.
- Assist with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensure all union reporting is accurate and timely.
- Maintain records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Process biweekly payroll and handle all items related to the payroll process.
- Manage leave of absences for all employees.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring for open positions.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Regularly spend time on the Production Floor to be available to employees.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred
- 3+ years of Human Resource experience.
- SHRM-CP.
- Experience in the Manufacturing Industry.
