We are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and dedicated to providing our clients with unsurpassed quality, service, and value day in and day out. As we continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. If you’re ready to join our mission of setting the standard for IT excellence, we are looking for a talented Information Systems Lead to join our team.
The Information Systems Lead turns the company's internal Information Systems strategy into complete, operational work. This role executes: building, configuring, and maintaining the internal platforms, integrations, automations, and data systems that support the organization's operations. The primary focus is hands-on execution.
The role combines systems engineering and systems administration. On the engineering side, the Lead performs advanced technical work such as integration development, automation engineering, data pipeline and dataset management, and platform optimization. On the administration side, the Lead owns the health of the internal environment, including endpoints, servers, and identity, and serves as the company's go-to resource for complex internal IT issues. The Lead handles technical work directly while providing guidance to other team members who support our internal tools.
Responsibilities
Internal IT Systems Ownership
- Own the resolution of issues across systems, applications, and infrastructure, serving as the technical resource for the team and the wider company.
- Manage the internal endpoint fleet, including configuration baselines, policy enforcement, software deployment, and patching.
- Administer and patch internal servers and supporting infrastructure, including monitoring and backups.
- Work with the information systems, Solution Center, and internal security teams to harden the internal environment across endpoints, servers, identity, and cloud services, including Entra tenant administration.
- Follow the change management process for internal system modifications and ensure documentation standards are met for all systems, integrations, and processes.
Systems Engineering and Automation
- Collaborate with internal teams to build, and maintain integrations between core platforms, including PSA, RMM, CRM, finance and billing, documentation, identity, and other line of business tools.
- Maintain the day-to-day health of internal platforms, including performance tuning, upgrades, and configuration standards.
- Build and maintain automation workflows using Power Automate, PowerShell, and other API-based tooling.
- Work with department stakeholders to document current processes and turn improvement opportunities into implemented solutions.
Initiative Execution and Cross-Department Support
- Execute initiatives on the internal systems roadmap, carrying them through implementation, adoption, and handoff to steady-state operations.
- Handle testing, rollout, training, and change communication for new systems and process changes.
- Gather requirements from internal departments, deliver solutions, and drive adoption.
- Keep stakeholders informed on progress, risks, and blockers. Triage and prioritize incoming departmental requests and bring strategic or budgetary decisions to leadership.
Team Leadership and Development
- Mentor staff and foster technical skill development, particularly in automation, scripting, and systems integration.
- Balance the team's initiative work against operational demands such as internal break-fix tickets, onboarding and offboarding, and routine administration.
- Coordinate with external vendors and consultants on assigned work.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Relevant certifications preferred: [LT1] Microsoft role-based certification in Azure or Microsoft 365 administration, or ITIL 4 foundation.
Experience
- 5 to 8 or more years of progressive IT experience, including advanced troubleshooting, systems administration, and engineering.
- 2 or more years mentoring staff or guiding the work of direct reports.
- Direct experience administering and integrating PSA platforms (HaloPSA, ConnectWise, Autotask, or similar) and related MSP tooling is strongly preferred.
- Basic familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint management platforms (Microsoft Intune, RMM tooling) and Windows Server administration and patching.
- Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, and role and permission management.
- Demonstrated experience building automations with Power Automate, PowerShell, Python, or API-based integrations.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and preparing datasets for reporting or business intelligence platforms, such as Power BI data sources.
- Experience within an MSP or IT services organization strongly preferred.
Skills and Attributes
- Works well with stakeholders at every level to turn the company's strategic plans into finished technical work.
- Comfortable owning problems end to end: triage, root cause, fix, document, and prevent recurrence.
- Strong prioritization judgment. Knows when to build, when to delegate, and when to escalate.
- Excellent documentation habits and clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
- Process-oriented, with a focus on standardization and measurable improvement.
