About the Role:
The Iron Operator plays a critical role in the accommodation and food services industry by ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial ironing equipment used to process linens, uniforms, and other fabric items. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality finished products that meet cleanliness and presentation standards, directly impacting guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. The Iron Operator must monitor machinery performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and maintain safety protocols to prevent accidents and equipment damage. Collaboration with housekeeping and laundry teams is essential to coordinate workflow and meet daily production targets. Ultimately, this role supports the overall guest experience by ensuring that all fabric items are impeccably pressed and ready for use in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating industrial ironing or laundry equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks associated with fabric handling.
- Understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the accommodation and food services industry or a similar hospitality environment.
- Certification or training in industrial laundry operations or equipment maintenance.
