Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of multifamily residential developments throughout South Florida. This individual will oversee projects from schematic design through construction administration while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
This position is intended for professionals with a proven track record managing multifamily residential architecture projects.
Direct multifamily experience is a strict requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multifamily residential projects through all phases of design, documentation, permitting, and construction.
- Coordinate and lead project teams, including architectural staff and consultants (structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and specialty consultants).
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary client contact and lead project meetings and presentations.
- Manage permitting and municipal approvals across South Florida jurisdictions.
- Ensure construction documents meet firm quality standards, project requirements, and applicable building codes.
- Oversee construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, field observations, consultant coordination, and issue resolution.
- Develop project-specific architectural details and technical solutions.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the professional development of project team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5–7 years of direct project management experience on multifamily residential architectural projects in South Florida. Multifamily residential experience is mandatory and non-negotiable.
- Strong knowledge of the Florida Building Code, accessibility requirements, and South Florida permitting processes.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and client management skills.
- Strong technical expertise and understanding of South Florida construction methods and building practices.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate consultants, manage project schedules, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Architect (RA) license.
- Experience with mid-rise, high-rise, podium, mixed-use, workforce housing, and multifamily residential developments.
- Established relationships and experience working with South Florida developers, ownership groups, and municipalities.
Important Requirement: We are seeking a highly organized and technically strong professional who can successfully lead multifamily projects while maintaining exceptional client service and project quality. This position is exclusively focused on multifamily residential architecture. Candidates whose experience is primarily in commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education, industrial, retail, or single-family residential projects will not be considered unless they possess significant direct multifamily project management experience.
