DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
-
The Charge Nurse provides functional direction to members of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes while optimizing available resources, including delivery of evidenced base care, staffing, and care coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Professional/Educational
-
Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license. BSN Preferred.
-
Previous experience in a Registered Nurse Role.
-
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Maintains required competencies/inservices and attends department meetings.
-
Delegation, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
-
Certified by the American Heart Association in ACLS, preferred.

Basic computer skills.
-
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Possesses the ability to work under tension.
