POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Application Administrator is a vital technical and governance role responsible for the expert-level configuration, maintenance, lifecycle management, and security compliance of complex enterprise software systems. Serving as the primary technical bridge between sophisticated core platforms and end-user operational success, you will ensure rigorous performance standards, high availability, and strict regulatory adherence within a highly regulated financial services environment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- User Support & Incident Management: Provide comprehensive technical and application-related user support for bank personnel. Take ownership of assigned technical support tickets, log incidents, provide timely solutions, and perform deep-dive root-cause analysis.
Coordinate problem isolation, resolution, and escalation across system administrators, network personnel, and external software vendors to ensure high customer satisfaction. - System Maintenance: Proactively monitor enterprise application performance, manage critical vendor patches, and execute configuration updates to guarantee optimal system stability and uptime.
- Deployment & Project Governance: Plan and support end-to-end application deployments, major version upgrades, and integration projects. Define clear project scopes, establish milestones, and enforce deadlines through effective technical governance.
- User Acceptance Testing & Implementation: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new software releases and system implementations, ensuring seamless operational transitions and minimal disruption for business units.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization: Identify system bottlenecks, execute database and application performance tuning, and implement workflow efficiency improvements to elevate user experience and system throughput.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive internal knowledge base, detailing system architecture diagrams, database schemata, troubleshooting protocols, and core operational process documentation.
- Core & Specialized System Support: Provide expert administration for core processing systems, loan origination systems, reporting databases, and enterprise platforms, tracking system modifications through structured work orders and enhancement logs.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; capable of interacting effectively with all levels of employees and executive management, conducting technical training, and authoring precise operational reports and procedures.
- Technical Infrastructure & OS Administration: Advanced knowledge of Windows OS and Windows Server administration, enterprise architecture, directory structures, and file system management.
- Application & Database Support: Proven experience with enterprise application support, database querying (SQL), reporting tools (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects or equivalent), and application monitoring/performance tuning utilities.
- Governance & Change Control: Thorough understanding of IT governance, change management protocols, and SOX compliance standards for financial applications.
- Problem Solving & Independence: Exceptional aptitude for analyzing complex, non-standardized problems involving multiple technical variables; ability to execute duties with minimal direct supervision.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in both English and Korean is preferred.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Relevant professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise software administration, and application support, with direct experience working within banking or financial services institutions required.
- FIS Banking System: Experience with FIS banking system is a plus.
We offer a competitive total rewards package, including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, 401k retirement savings plan, and paid federal holidays, for this full-time position within the annual salary range of $85,000 - $130,000. Annual pay ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location. Exact compensation may vary based on your skills and experience.
