Job Title: Lead Delivery Dispatcher
Regular Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-4pm

Pay Rate: $28-31 per hour

Job Summary

The Lead Delivery Dispatcher position is responsible for scheduling and coordinating all of Copier Northwest’s deliveries, pickups and moves of copiers and printers. This role is heavily dependent on communication, planning, and organizational skillsets. This position requires many hours talking with people on the phone and sending emails, so clear communication, composure under pressure, and a customer service attitude is a must. In addition to external customers, this position works closely with other key internal departments to coordinate planning.

Key Duties:

Planning/Organization

  • Plan and schedule driver routes for all sales and branches using the available company resources.
  • Use Sharepoint and Excel to prioritize and organize delivery routes.
  • Balance multiple installs at one time.
  • Use Company software and to monitor new incoming orders.
  • Work with the warehouses to help transfers products between company branches
  • Use company software to file delivery paperwork, and may include including printing, scanning, and filing.

Communication

  • Communicate with customers to schedule and ensure efficient delivery, moves and pick up of copiers and printers.
  • Communicate delivery dates and other crucial information to other CNW departments.
  • Constant communication with the Drivers.
  • Escalate issues to management and collaborate on alternatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1-year lead experience
  • 2-year prior experience in a scheduling or dispatch position, preferably with delivery experience
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations, preferred.

  • Must possess outstanding communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills
  • Self- discipline qualities including; accepting feedback from others, upholding organizational values, supporting organizational goals, willingness to make decisions, keeping commitments
  • Strong attention to detail, strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong initiative with ability to seek out relevant information prior to making timely decisions
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and colleagues
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast- paced work environment, and use critical thinking skills to help solve problems.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow all company standard operating procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office products are a plus

Requirements (Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands)

  • Must be able to hear auditory alarms, speak, concentrate, analyze and solve complex issues throughout the course of the workday
  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical documents.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time throughout the course of the workday.
  • Maybe required to work outside normal business hours including mornings and evenings as scheduled.
