Description:


Designs, installs, maintains and troubleshoots automated systems and machinery. Performs routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on Chemline buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.

Essential Functions

· Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems, including computer-controlled systems.

· Repairs and troubleshooting of chemical processing equipment including pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and other chemical processing equipment.

· Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance activities on all equipment and tracks data on findings.

· Performs general maintenance repairs to building and facility.

· Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets; installs window blinds.

· Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

· Installs electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services, wiring during remodeling projects; replaces and repairs wiring as needed.

· Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment.

· Basic troubleshooting of PLCs and VFDs.

· May repair electrical locks and control panels to maintain building security.

· Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.

· Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.

· Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

· Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required.

· May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.

Requirements:

Skills and Competencies

· Strong electrical automation engineering skills.

· Must have demonstrated skill in troubleshooting, repairing, installing and preventative maintenance of chemical pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and other chemical processing equipment.

· Must have basic welding skills.

· Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, etc.

· Basic PLC and VFD knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Advanced PLC skills are a plus.

· Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Willingness to learn new skills and grow with our company as it expands.
