POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Director of Admission Events & Recruiting provides leadership in developing and implementing recruitment strategies that support enrollment growth. This position oversees admissions events, supervises a team of admissions counselors, represents CIIS to prospective students, and builds partnerships with community organizations and educational institutions. The role also serves as a primary admissions representative, guiding prospective students through the recruitment and enrollment process while supporting the university's enrollment goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Counsel prospective students on admissions requirements, academic programs, and student life.
- Respond to inquiries by phone, email, Zoom, and in person in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor inquiry and applicant pipelines and recommend strategies to achieve enrollment goals.
- Review applicant files and guide applicants through the admissions process.
- Lead admissions presentations, information sessions, campus tours, and recruitment events.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute on-campus and off-campus recruitment events.
- Represent CIIS at college fairs, community events, and other recruitment activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with educators, community organizations, and professional associations.
- Manage recruitment projects, outreach initiatives, and reporting.
- Supervise, coach, and support a team of four Admissions Counselors.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to develop and implement strategic recruitment initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Master's degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of admissions, recruitment, or related higher education experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Hybrid work environment with regular collaboration across departments. Position requires occasional travel and participation in evening and weekend recruitment events.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Requires prolonged sitting and standing, keyboard use, verbal and written communication, and occasional bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling while performing recruitment activities and events.
LOCATION
Hybrid: Remote with 1-2 days per week on campus, plus additional on-campus attendance and travel as required for admissions and recruitment events.
Additional Information:
WAGES AND BENEFITS
$70,304 to $75,000
NOTES TO CANDIDATE
- Working Conditions Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal, typically Monday through Friday with some weekends required for classes.
- Background Check Due to the sensitivity and requirements of this position, you should expect to undergo and be cleared of an employment background/criminal check, if extended an offer for employment. You may also be asked to provide proof of educational degree(s), licenses, or credentials pertinent to the position. If your job requires driving on behalf of CIIS you will be required to provide proof of a valid driver's license.
