Position Overview:
Shine is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Finance to manage financial accounting and operations. This role is key to ensuring fiscal health, driving organizational efficiency, and enabling smart growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will deliver accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial planning, while partnering across departments to align finance with our mission and growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Finance & Planning- Support CEO with long-term financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling
- Collaborate with the Chief People Officer to align financial planning with workforce strategy and staffing needs
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including reconciliations, monthly close, and financial audits
- Manage cash flow, optimize receivables/payables, and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and organizational financial policies
- Manage dashboards, KPIs, and custom financial models to inform operational decision-making
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and revenue optimization
- Support program development with financial impact analysis
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and nonprofit standards
- Lead the audit process and serve as the primary liaison to external auditors
- Partner with CPA to deliver on tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of federal, state, and local filings
- Collaborate with HR to support timely payroll and workforce (C&B) reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA a plus
- 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including 2+ in a leadership role
- Proven ability to build scalable systems and support high-stakes financial strategy
- Sharp analytical mind, strong communicator, and operationally hands-on
- Experience in human services, nonprofit, or healthcare finance a bonus

The pay range for this role is:
91,800 - 102,000 USD per year(Los Ángeles, CA )
