Overview:

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading and optimizing inbound logistics and warehouse operations for the TPG Pressure Grand Prairie location. This role ensures timely and accurate receipt of goods, while overseeing efficient warehouse workflows and inventory management. The position requires strong coordination with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to streamline inbound transportation and enhance receiving processes while reducing costs and ensuring high service levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receiving operations and inventory intake processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Supervise, train, and lead inbound logistics staff
  • Coordinate and manage all inbound shipments from suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Manage carrier and supplier relationships and ensure accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Manage warehouse stock levels, optimize warehouse layout, and enforce warehouse security measures.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, quality assurance and outbound logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
  • Optimize inbound logistics processes for cost efficiency through continuous analysis and improvement initiatives
  • Manage and analyze inbound logistics data, KPIs, and reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with IT and ERP systems teams to support inbound logistics process automation and reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse receiving, inventory control, and material handling processes.
  • Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and ERP receiving procedures.
  • Ability to lead a team and work well with cross functional teams and remote offices
  • Strong computer skills, highly organized and detail oriented
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills in working with all levels of in the organization

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of warehouse, distribution center, or logistics experience.
  • 1–3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse environment.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 40 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. OT will be required as needed.

Travel:

  • Out-of-state travel will be required periodically throughout the year.
