GMC of Vacaville is looking for a strong Service Manager or a top-performing Service Advisor who is ready to take the next step into leadership.
This is a great opportunity for someone who knows how to run a service drive, control repair orders, communicate with customers, and lead by example. You do not need to be a long-time Service Manager to be considered. If you are a high-performing Service Advisor, Assistant Service Manager, Dispatcher, or fixed operations professional who is ready for more responsibility, we want to talk to you.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow, build a strong team culture, improve customer satisfaction, and help take the service department to the next level.
CompensationPay Range: $72,000 – $300,000 per year
Compensation includes base pay plus performance-based incentives. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, department performance, and individual performance.
Top performers can expect the opportunity to earn up to $300,000 per year.
What We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate is someone who:
Has strong dealership service advisor experience.
Understands repair order flow, customer communication, dispatch, warranty, and technician production.
Is organized, process-driven, and strong with follow-up.
Can lead advisors and technicians in a professional and respectful way.
Knows how to improve CSI/NPS through better communication and accountability.
Wants to grow into a stronger fixed operations leader.
Can help create a positive team culture based on process, accountability, and customer service.
ResponsibilitiesOversee daily service department operations, including advisors, technicians, dispatch, repair order flow, and customer communication.
Coach and support service advisors to improve appointments, follow-up, customer updates, closing ratios, and repair order quality.
Help improve CSI/NPS by ensuring customers receive timely updates, accurate expectations, and one clear point of contact.
Monitor open repair orders, technician productivity, comeback repairs, warranty compliance, and repair order documentation.
Work closely with the Parts Department to improve parts ordering, receiving, returns, check-out/check-in, and old-part handling.
Maintain clear processes for shop tools, customer communication, warranty procedures, repair order notes, and internal workflow.
Review department performance, including labor sales, gross profit, efficiency, productivity, customer retention, and customer satisfaction.
Help grow the service department to the next level through leadership, communication, accountability, teamwork, and consistent processes.
QualificationsStrong dealership Service Advisor experience required.
Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Dispatcher, or fixed operations leadership experience preferred, but not required.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to coach employees and hold the team accountable in a professional manner.
Knowledge of repair orders, dispatch, warranty, customer pay, internal work, parts flow, and service department operations.
General Motors dealership experience is a plus, but not required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards.
