Job Description
The teaching assistant plays the vital role of helping the teacher accomplish the purpose of guiding and encouraging students to discover God’s plan for their lives and achieve their full potential; academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
Requirements:Tasks:
- Motivate students to grow in their faith.
- Recognize the need for good public relations. Represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the school’s constituency and the general public.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of disciplinary actions and parent concerns.
- Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
- Implement grade level appropriate curriculum and program for school year
- Maintain daily devotionals with students
- Develop and maintain required records for student achievement
- Develop policies and procedures
- Create and maintain a safe environment for students
- Work with parents and students as needed
- Manage incidents with students and communicate with parents and administration
- Adhere to FCC Conduct Covenant and FCC Staff Statement of Ethics
- Collaborate with other staff to help fulfill the vision and mission of the church & school
- All other duties as assigned by the Head of School with or without advance notice
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five (5) years of experience in related field
- English language
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, talk, and hear.
- Regularly subjected to both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
