The Position Specifics
Your job is to Spark Brighter Days by leading the restaurant with excellence, integrity, and energy. As a General Manager, you are responsible for the overall success of the restaurant – driving operations, developing your team, and delivering an exceptional guest experience every day. The responsibilities of this position include:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the restaurant operations, including service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise daily operations to ensure excellence in food quality, service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Direct and supervise staffing, scheduling, and overall team performance.
- Work on the floor Friday-Tuesday, focusing on staff support and guest experience (including peak weekend shifts).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility, including all equipment and guest-facing areas.
- Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to grow sales and community presence.
- Lead by example with strong leadership, organization, and decision-making skills.
- Crete and maintain a positive, safe, and engaging work environment.
Team Leadership & Staffing
- Oversee all Front of House staff while supporting Back of House operations.
- Lead all hiring processes and staffing decisions.
- Create schedules and ensure proper coverage for all shifts.
- Own all training and development programs for new and existing team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Facilitate continuous training in service, food, alcohol, and team engagement.
- Manage and document disciplinary actions and terminations as needed.
Service & Product Standards
- Ensure all Over Easy service standards are implemented and consistently upheld.
- Oversee food quality, consistency, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy, presentation, and timelines of all food and beverages.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and recipes.
- Enforce responsible alcohol service standards, including ID verification and compliance.
Guest Experience & Community Engagement
- Create a welcoming, energetic, and memorable experience for every guest.
- Oversee reservation and POS systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Recognize and engage with regulars, VIPs, and large parties.
- Develop and manage annual marketing plans and budgets.
- Actively engage with local community to drive business and catering opportunities.
- Stay informed on local events, businesses, and competitors.
Work Environment

Financial Management
- Own and manage food and beverage cost controls.
- Ensure labor is properly managed and aligned with business needs.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Analyze and address budget variances.
- Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and reverse labor tracking.
Communication & Presence
- Lead by example with a strong and consistent presence.
- Maintain a reliable and positive attendance record.
- Attend and contribute to weekly manager meetings.
- Complete daily manager logs, reports, and required paperwork.
- Lead daily pre-shifts and communicate expectations daily.
- Respond promptly to emails and communications from leadership and ownership.
- Effectively resolve employee conflicts, guest concerns, and vendor issues.
- Utilize systems such as Paylocity, Restaurant365, Toast POS, and Office 365 to drive results.

This position participates in a tip pool in accordance with company policy and applicable wage and hour laws.
Requirements:Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience with a team of 10+.
- Must maintain valid Certified Food Protection Manager and Title 4 Manager certifications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
- Maintains exceptional hygiene and grooming standards.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
