Job Description

Join the Park Opportunity Garden

At Park Landscape Group, we believe a world-class landscape starts from the ground up—and that includes our team. We provide a fertile space where you can plant your ambitions and watch them bloom. Our culture is built on a simple philosophy: When we invest in you, you invest in us.

The "Opportunity Garden" Framework
  • NURTURE: A supportive environment built on safety, integrity, and trust. We provide the tools you need to succeed without the burnout.

  • GROW: We don’t leave your career to chance. If you have the ambition, we provide the ladder through dedicated training and career tracking.

  • THRIVE: This is where your "Can-Do" attitude meets empowerment. We trust our experts and give you the autonomy to tackle challenges head-on.

The Role: Account Manager, Grounds Management

While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the expertise. In this role, you will be an operational and commercial leader responsible for protecting, growing, and optimizing the company’s grounds maintenance and snow management portfolio while directly driving project delivery, site quality, and field operations. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this position balances commercial strategy, client retention, and contract renewals with hands-on site execution, crew scheduling, job costing, and field quality control across commercial properties in Alberta.

Your Daily Impact:

  • Nurture Client Relationships & Drive Portfolio Growth: Maintain a highly visible presence across the portfolio through regular site meetings, property inspections, and proactive client communication. Lead contract renewal strategies and negotiations to secure long-term retention. Review account profitability and actively identify, quote, and close upsells, site enhancements, scope expansions, and seasonal upgrades.

  • Direct Project Delivery & Operational Execution: Create and manage operational schedules for maintenance crews, Fertilizer/Weed Spray Technicians, and enhancement teams. Conduct regular site walkthroughs to inspect work quality, enforce company execution standards, troubleshoot field challenges, dispatch work tickets, and manage labor, materials, and equipment to keep active projects on schedule.

  • Drive Financial Oversight & Systems Management: Monitor labor hours through daily time card approvals, track material usage, and manage cost-to-complete forecasts to protect account margins. Prepare high-precision proposals, job scope definitions, enhancement quotations, and billing setup documentation. Maintain up-to-date client records, site details, and operational notes within Aspire.

  • Support Strategic Business Development & Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with the Business Development Manager to pursue qualified leads, conduct property assessments, prepare estimates, and present proposals for prospective accounts. Collaborate with internal Estimating, Field Supervisors, and Operations leadership to align client expectations with field capacity.

* Seasonal Transition (Winter Services): From November through April, Park Landscaping transitions its primary operations to comprehensive snow and ice management. During this period, you will directly manage a designated winter operational division (e.g., Sidewalks, Parking Lots, Special Projects) while maintaining client account management and administrative oversight. Due to the unpredictable nature of Alberta weather, this position requires a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays during significant snow events to ensure the safety of our clients' properties.

The Essentials for Growth (KSAs)

To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:

  • Knowledge: Requires minimum 5 years of experience in combining account management and field operations in landscaping. Strong understanding of Alberta OHS rules, safety practices, and contract compliance. Education in Business, Construction, or Horticulture preferred.

  • Skills: Skilled in contract negotiation, job costing, accurate estimating, and take-offs. Highly proficient with CRM/ERP software (Aspire, SiteDocs, QuickBooks, ADP) and Google Workspace.

  • Abilities: Able to drive account growth while managing crew schedules and tight deadlines. Comfortable working outdoors on active job sites across all Alberta weather conditions. Valid driver's license required; must be open to out-of-town travel across Alberta.

Compensation & Total RewardsYour total rewards package is designed to support your long-term financial well-being and daily professional success:
  • Competitive Base Salary: Based on experience and reviewed annually.
  • Health & Dental Benefits: Access to our comprehensive group benefits plan.
  • RRSP Matching Program: A company-matched contribution plan to support your long-term financial goals.
  • Incentives: Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and incentive programs offered at the Company’s sole discretion.
