Banking as a Service (BaaS) Compliance Officer in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at MRV Banks

Cape Girardeau, MO | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM | onsite
MRV Banks is looking for an experienced banking professional to join our growing MRV Connect team as a BaaS Compliance Officer.
This role provides compliance leadership and oversight for our Banking as a Service (BaaS) programs and partners, helping ensure innovative banking programs operate within regulatory requirements and the Bank’s risk appetite.

• Provide compliance oversight for BaaS programs and partner relationships
• Interpret and apply banking and consumer compliance regulations
• Review partner products, processes, marketing and compliance controls
• Identify compliance trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, monitoring and testing
• Work closely with BaaS Relationship Management, Risk, Operations and Bank leadership
• Help strengthen and evolve the MRV Connect compliance program as we grow

We’re looking for an experienced banking professional with strong regulatory knowledge, sound judgment and a risk-focused mindset.
Direct BaaS experience is a plus, but we’re also interested in experienced bankers with backgrounds in compliance, lending, underwriting, risk, audit or other highly regulated areas of banking who are ready to grow into BaaS.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Accounting, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive banking or financial services experience and a strong understanding of working in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and regulatory risk.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and appropriately escalate risk.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments and with external partners.
• Experience with BaaS, fintech partnerships, payments, or sponsor-bank programs preferred but not required.
• Compliance certification such as CRCM or similar credential is a plus.
