This role sits at the core of endpoint security and compliance operations, leading a team responsible for ensuring devices across a large managed services environment remain secure, patched, and compliant. You will combine hands-on technical understanding with strong people leadership to guide day-to-day execution, improve operational maturity, and strengthen vulnerability management practices. The position requires close coordination with security, service owners, and customer stakeholders to ensure risks are identified and remediated quickly and effectively. You will play a key role in managing patching strategies, compliance reporting, and response to critical vulnerabilities such as zero-days. A strong emphasis is placed on structure, consistency, and continuous improvement across endpoint operations. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and can balance technical depth with clear communication and operational discipline. Your work will directly contribute to reducing security risk and improving endpoint health at scale.
The Endpoint Compliance Team Lead is responsible for leading endpoint compliance operations, ensuring secure and consistent patch management, and driving high-quality vulnerability remediation across customer environments.
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of endpoint compliance engineers, ensuring strong performance and accountability
- Oversee endpoint patching and compliance across Windows and macOS environments
- Maintain and manage a centralized software catalog of supported applications
- Monitor emerging vulnerabilities, including OS, application, and malware threats, and coordinate response activities
- Ensure timely deployment of OS, security, browser, Microsoft 365, and third-party application patches
- Manage patch compliance reporting and ensure monthly customer reports are accurate and delivered on time
- Track compliance gaps, drive remediation efforts, and ensure adherence to agreed security standards
- Support urgent and zero-day patch response activities and ensure rapid execution where required
- Maintain patching schedules, deployment rings, and exception handling processes
- Cross-check device data across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with security, service owners, and customer stakeholders to align priorities and outcomes
- Improve patching workflows, operational processes, documentation, and reporting standards
- Provide clear updates on risk, performance, blockers, and compliance status to management
This role requires strong technical leadership in endpoint engineering or compliance operations, combined with deep knowledge of patch management and security practices in enterprise environments.
- Experience leading technical teams in endpoint engineering, desktop support, or compliance operations
- Strong understanding of endpoint patching, vulnerability management, and device compliance frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and/or MECM (SCCM)
- Experience with patch deployment tools such as Patch My PC or similar solutions (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS endpoint management
- Understanding of deployment rings, phased rollouts, exception handling, and remediation workflows
- Ability to interpret compliance data and translate it into actionable remediation plans
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics for security/compliance
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly structured, organized, and outcome-driven approach to operational delivery
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
