Job Description

Description:

About the Role

Chemical Guys is looking for a Videographer II to create high-impact video content across paid ads, social, YouTube, and brand campaigns. This role is for a mid-level video producer who can independently shoot, edit, and deliver performance-minded content while making smart creative decisions rooted in product benefits and audience behavior.

You’ll own projects from shoot through final delivery, regularly incorporating motion graphics in After Effects and using AI-assisted tools to work faster and smarter. This role sits above execution-only production and below senior-level leadership, with opportunities to mentor junior team members and influence creative quality.

Most shoots take place at our Torrance HQ, with occasional local travel and limited evening or weekend shoots depending on campaign needs.

Responsibilities

  • Shoot and edit video content including Meta ads, sizzle reels, vertical social content, event highlight reels, and YouTube videos.
  • Interpret creative briefs and deliver content optimized for platform performance and audience engagement.
  • Translate product features and benefits into clear, compelling visual storytelling.
  • Manage camera, lighting, audio, and small-crew setups; direct basic on-screen talent when needed.
  • Deliver content across multiple formats (16:9, 4:5, 9:16), ensuring each version feels native to its platform.
  • Create motion graphics in After Effects, including animated product callouts, supers, lower thirds, transitions, and light product animations.
  • Use AI-assisted tools (within Adobe or third-party platforms) to accelerate editing, transcription, cleanup, and versioning while maintaining quality and brand standards.
  • Mentor Videographer I team members in workflow, organization, and product understanding.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, and Social teams to execute strong concepts efficiently.
  • Maintain clean file structures, timelines, and exports using established naming and backup practices.
  • Prepare polished, platform-ready exports that meet compression and delivery standards.
  • Participate in local travel for off-site shoots (approx. 5–10%) and occasional evening or weekend productions (approx. 5%).
