Visual Inspection Technician in Costa Mesa, California at Pyramid Laboratories Inc

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Visual Inspection Technician inspects pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves meticulous observation and documentation to identify defects and contaminants and ensure compliance with specifications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. Performs repetitive handling of drug product containers while predominantly in a seated position, swirling and inverting containers and extending arm out in front of light source to identify product defects.
2. Ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
3. Completes visual inspection forms and reports.
4. Identifies and communicates product quality issues.
5. Assists with receiving and inspecting of manufactured products, vial coding and labeling, sampling, testing, and measurement of critical components.
6. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Must be able to maintain visual qualifications annually, ability to see all colors and the ability to visually discern product specifications across multiple products.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Previous employment within FDA/USDA, GMP environment, is desired.
