Program Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Program Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive strategic business outcomes and operational excellence.
The Program Manager will oversee multiple projects, guiding teams and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Working across manufacturing, engineering, and business functions, this position plays a key role in delivering impactful programs from planning through execution.

Accountabilities:

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing strategic programs, coordinating project teams, and ensuring successful delivery of business initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage priorities, risks, and stakeholder expectations effectively.

  • Lead and oversee a team of Project Managers, providing coaching, guidance, performance support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure program initiatives are aligned with strategic objectives, business goals, and measurable success criteria.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders and cross-functional leaders to establish priorities, expected outcomes, and program direction.
  • Define program goals, milestones, KPIs, and performance metrics while monitoring progress against objectives.
  • Coordinate project requirements gathering, documentation, approvals, resource planning, and execution strategies.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, scope, risks, dependencies, and change control processes to ensure successful delivery.
  • Identify potential issues, develop mitigation strategies, and act as an escalation point for project risks and conflicts.
  • Drive effective communication across project teams, stakeholders, leadership groups, and external partners through regular reporting and updates.
  • Analyze project costs, resource allocation, and operational efficiencies to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development and adoption of project management standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the project management community.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, procurement activities, change requests, and third-party project requirements when needed.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex programs and leading cross-functional teams within a manufacturing or technical environment. Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders are essential for success.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience leading medium-to-large projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing programs within manufacturing, product development, production environments, or related technical industries.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance practices, and portfolio coordination.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly preferred.
  • Ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority while driving accountability and results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience using project management tools, including Microsoft Office applications, Teams, and Project.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working across geographically distributed teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
