Head of Business Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Business Operations based in United States.

This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to shape operational excellence within a rapidly growing technology organization transforming the future of logistics. As Head of Business Operations, you will build and lead the systems, processes, and teams that turn strategic vision into measurable execution. You will partner closely with senior leaders to improve organizational alignment, decision-making, and business performance. This role is ideal for an experienced operations leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys creating scalable frameworks that enable growth. You will serve as a key connector across teams, driving clarity, accountability, and operational maturity. The position provides the chance to influence company-wide strategy while building the foundation for long-term success in an innovative industry.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and scale the Business Operations function by defining team priorities, developing talent, and allocating resources toward the highest-impact initiatives.
  • Establish and manage company-wide operating rhythms, including strategic planning cycles, OKRs, business reviews, and execution frameworks.
  • Translate high-level business strategy into actionable plans by creating alignment, ownership, and measurable outcomes across teams.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify operational challenges, remove barriers, and accelerate critical initiatives.
  • Improve organizational efficiency by identifying process gaps, resource constraints, communication challenges, and opportunities for structural improvements.
  • Serve as a strategic escalation point for complex execution risks, helping teams make informed decisions and maintain momentum.
  • Develop operational standards, tools, and best practices that improve project management capabilities and organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure teams have the systems and processes needed to execute successfully at scale.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience building, leading, and scaling high-performing operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to transform strategic objectives into operational plans, processes, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong experience managing complex portfolios of projects, priorities, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Expertise in organizational change management and guiding teams through periods of growth and evolving business models.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment.
  • Deep experience with resource planning, workforce strategy, headcount management, and operational budgeting.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and a results-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $235,000 – $293,000 USD per year, depending on role level, location, experience, and qualifications.
